In the Chiefs first game without Star RB Kareem Hunt, they arose victorious over the now 2-10 Oakland Raiders. The absence of Hunt didn’t seem to faze the Kansas City offense has they scored 40 points. The only real difference was the amount of rushing yards that were accumulated by the 4 Chiefs that were given opportunities to rush the ball. The player with the most chances, was now starting running back Spencer Ware, wow rushed 14 times for a touchdown and only 47 yards, earning fantasy owners an acceptable 12.20 Fan pts. Although Ware is now the first string back he did not lead the team in total rushing yards in the Chief’s Sunday contest. That was none, other than rookie sensation QB Patrick Mahomes, who successfully rushed 9 times for a total of 52 yards. Mahomes did most of his damage with his arm on Sunday, passing for 295 yards and 4 touchdowns earning him a cool 33 Fan pts. on the week. The Chiefs return to action Sunday December 9th when they square off against the Baltimore Ravens in a week 14, AFC matchup. Although the Chiefs are pretty much a lock for the playoffs it will be interesting to see if they can continue to put out the same numbers on a weekly basis even without their star running back.
